Tom Morello isn’t too keen on one of his most famous fans.
Newly minted Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan says he counts Rage Against the Machine, the hard-left rockers led by Morello, as a personal favorite.
That news didn’t set well with Morello, an Occupy Wall Street booster and unabashed socialist. So he took to the pages of the far-left Rolling Stone to blast Ryan as an “extreme fringe right wing nut job.”
Stay classy, Morello.
And by “blast,” we mean sing from the standard Democratic demonizing playbook. Talk about a flat chorus.
Ryan claims that he likes Rage’s sound, but not the lyrics. Well, I don’t care for Paul Ryan’s sound or his lyrics. He can like whatever bands he wants, but his guiding vision of shifting revenue more radically to the one percent is antithetical to the message of Rage….
Ryan, and the Republican party in general, have zero interest in “shifting revenue” from the poor to the rich. They simply want to let people keep more of their cash. Period.
Don’t mistake me, I clearly see that Ryan has a whole lotta “rage” in him: A rage against women, a rage against immigrants, a rage against workers, a rage against gays, a rage against the poor, a rage against the environment.
