The Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill down at LA Live will be serving President Barack Obama and some big donors on October 7, a source with knowledge of the fundraising event told Deadline tonight. Jeffrey Katzenberg will be co-hosting the now $25,000 a ticket dinner scheduled after the 30 Days To Victory Concert at the Nokia Theatre. Harvey Weinstein may also come on board as a co-host for the intimate meal between the incumbent and his wealthier supporters. Both Katzenberg and Weinstein are big Obama backers and have hosted previous exclusive high-priced dinners for the President. Earth, Wind & Fire are confirmed to perform at the concert, Deadline has learned. So is pop star Katy Perry.
What else to expect from the same President who dashed off to a Vegas fundraiser the same day the Middle East blew up and we learned of the assassination of Ambassador Stevens.
