Jennifer Lawrence Wants Out of Hollywood

Jennifer Lawrence, the star of “The Hunger Games,” says she is through living in Hollywood:

I cannot live in Los Angeles anymore. I don’t understand how actors can do it. I don’t want to stay in L.A. and start thinking that’s reality–because it’s very far from normal. You have no life here. You are followed everywhere. It’s not like that anywhere else in the world.

Lawrence has signed to reprise her “Hunger Games” role in three more films, but the constant invasion of paparazzi ever since “Winter’s” Bone in 2010,  for which she received an Oscar nomination, is leaving her hungry to leave Tinseltown behind.

Lawrence said that she still loves movies and that her “Hunger Games” role was still something she liked to do:

With Hunger Games, I got really nervous about signing on to that huge franchise. I was afraid that Katniss would overwhelm any other character I’d try to do. But I love Katniss, and she didn’t take over as much of my life as I thought she would.

Lawrence has been tired of the media frenzy for a while. She said in March:

It’s kind of the same about paparazzi and tabloids. It’s like, yeah it’s disgusting; I wish that we could get away and get rid of it. But it’s what people want, it’s what makes money. We can bash the paparazzi as much as we want, but they’re getting paid by the tabloids because the tabloids are making money because we are buying those magazines. I haven’t actually had any swarms. I get the creepy ones that hide in the bushes outside my house that I don’t see … I don’t know how I get to trade them. I’d much rather walk through a wall of people than to like…see horrible pictures of me show up that I had no idea were being taken.
