'Atlas Shrugged' Still Wants and Deserves Your Vote

Last night, “Atlas Shrugged” producer Harmon Kaslow presented a short message before a free online screening of the first film in the planned trilogy along with a peek at its sequel.

The behind the scenes footage showed a how a scene from “Atlas Shrugged: Part II” came together. Glimpses of director John Putch and actor Jason Beghe hard at work made the glimpse feel incredibly real. The 20-minute clip also went into the special effects behind the sequence.

Kaslow also had a few words for the film saga’s fans. He said his intention with streaming the first film free was to convince those unfamiliar with the franchise to see Part II in theaters. He also said any Ayn Rand fan hoping for a film version of exactly what has been living in their imaginations for years will be sorely disappointed. You need the “right expectations,” he explained.

Right expectations or not, “Atlas Shrugged: Part II” is a phenomenal film for conservatives, film buffs and Randians alike. It is epic in scope, provides truly inspired performances and works as a sort of footnote for the greatness of Rand’s ideas.

I tell you fellow conservatives and film lovers and Randians: “Atlas Shrugged: Part II” is worth your hard-earned money. The producers fight so hard because the product is there, even if the film under-performed during its first weekend in theaters. “Shrugged” proves that conservatives can make art beyond documentaries dissecting President Obama’s first term. Support this film and its producers. Conservative art and artists rely on it.

“Atlas Shrugged: Part I” is currently streaming via Netflix, while “Part II” is playing in a theater near you.
