The Mighty Rob Schneider: I'm Not Voting For 'Crappy' President Obama

In my house, Rob Schneider isn’t known only as “Rob Schneider.” Oh no. He is enshrined forever as The Mighty Rob Schneider, a title reserved for only Hollywood legends — and Schneider won his place among them with just a single immortal performance, that of Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo.

Those bestowed with the title “Mighty” can pretty much do whatever they want, as far as I’m concerned. “The Mighty” can jaywalk, rob banks, gouge out my eye, dance with my date, and even vote Democrat without fear — for they are “Mighty” and “The Mighty” rule a world you and I are lucky enough to share with them.

This doesn’t mean, though, that “The Mighty” can’t become “Mightier,” which is something Rob Schneider achieved this morning with some spoken truth about a failed president:-

I take Schneider at his word about being a liberal Democrat. In the truest sense of both words, Obama has failed miserably. The poor are poorer as Wall Street explodes and the middle class are losing around a thousand dollars a year in income. Moreover, we’ve lost somewhere around a million manufacturing jobs and nothing is hurting those living on the bubble more than exploding gas prices.

If you truly care about the poor and those struggling, why would you want four more years of the same?

It’s important to note that Schneider does not say he’s voting for Romney. But what we can say is that the alumni from the 1990-1991 seasons of “Saturday Night Live” have really come into their own lately. Dennis Miller and Victoria Jackson have come out of the Republican closet; Schnedier, Jon Lovitz, and Dana Carvey are refusing to take the easy route when it comes to Obama; and Adam Sandler will always be remembered as the only Oscar presenter who proudly wore his country’s flag during a war Hollywood loathed.

I don’t care who these guys vote for. What I love is that they’re Big Stars willing to say things too many in Hollywood won’t.

For the record, all that stuff above about Rob Schneider being “mighty” is 100% sincere. Ask anyone. “Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo” is, in my humble opinion, a flat-out comedic masterpiece with a sequel worthy of the original. (The sequel has some terrific pro-American moments, as well.) You bring as much pleasure into my life as those two films have; you’ve earned yourself “mighty.”
