Three Strikes: Washington Post Erases More 'Hating Breitbart' Reader Raves

Hating Breitbart” director Andrew Marcus tried to give The Washington Post the benefit of the doubt after the newspaper’s web site erased positive reader reviews of his new film.

When the news site did it again, Marcus’ skepticism grew. Now, after the site erased reviews for a third time, the director’s patience has worn thin.

“Hating Breitbart” opened Oct. 19 in several cities including Washington, D.C. The newspaper’s film critic, Mark Jenkins, gave the film one and a half stars, but the site allowed readers to share their own reviews of the documentary.

Marcus has repeatedly reached out to the newspaper for an explanation, and Breitbart News also checked in with the newspaper’s ombudsman, Patrick Pexton, for comment.

Pexton sent Breitbart News a brief note earlier this week saying the newspaper was investigating matter, but he hasn’t sent any more information.

The Washington Post has restored the erased readers reviews as of this afternoon … for now.
