Gary Sinise Rallies to Help Staten Island Residents Post-Hurricane Sandy

Gary Sinise is known for his charitable efforts along with his stellar acting career.

The star of “CSI: New York” and “Forrest Gump” travels the globe with his Lt. Dan Band, a rock outfit which entertains members of the U.S. military.

Now, Sinise is turning his attention, and checkbook, to Staten Island residents devastated by Hurricane Sandy earlier this week.

Financial help is already on the way for Staten Island victims of Hurricane Sandy.

With donations from former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, actor Gary Sinise and borough bank foundations and businesses, $300,000 has already been raised for a relief fund to be run through the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation….

Sinise gave a $100,000 donation. Citibank pledged $50,000….
