Vice President Joe Biden Poses with Anti-American Rapper PSY

Had President-elect Mitt Romney posed for pictures with someone who once wished violent death upon the family members of U.S. soldiers the story would be swirling through the mainstream media for days. Maybe longer.

Vice President Joe Biden did just that earlier today with rap star Psy, while President Barack Obama shared a laugh with the South Korean rapper known for his wildly popular “Gangnam Style” video. Just don’t expect it to make much noise in traditional media circles.

Psy was one of several performers who sang during today’s annual “Christmas in Washington” concert. The event came shortly after Psy, born Park Jae-sang, offered his apology for some monstrous anti-American comments he made during the early 2000s.

The rapper wished, among other things, for the “daughters, mothers, daughters-in-law, and fathers” of “f***ing Yankees” and U.S. troops associated with torturing Iraqis to be killed “slowly and painfully.”
