Robert Davi Sells Out Vibrato Twice, New Show Added Thursday Night

Robert Davi will honor Frank Sinatra’s birthday this week by singing some of ol’ Blue Eyes’ best known songs at the Vibrato Grill Jazz in Bel Air.

Seems plenty of people want to celebrate along with the veteran actor/singer.

Davi’s Dec. 12 performance sold out immediately, so the club added a second performance the following day. That, too, sold out, convincing Davi to add a second show Thursday night.

More than a few folks must have heard “Davi Sings Sinatra: On the Road to Romance” or read the raves Davi has received since reclaiming his passion for music.

Davi, best known on screen for performances in “The Goonies,” “Die Hard” and “License to Kill,” will perform Sinatra classics with a sextet, a concept mirroring a tour Sinatra himself embarked on 50 years ago. The legendary singer brought his own sextet around the world in 1962 to play for sick children.

Emil Richards, a member of that touring sextet, now plays behind Davi. Richards says the actor/singer “is the only one that comes close to having the voice, the acting chops, and the charisma that the Ol’ man had. Listen and become a life long fan of this wonderful talent.”
