Avowed Occupy Wall Street supporter Russell Simmons will greet President Barack Obama’s second term with another Hip-Hop Inaugural Ball, but the price of admission won’t be cheap.
The black-tie Hip-Hop Inaugural Ball will take place at the Harman Centeron Jan. 20. The gala, hosted by Russell Simmons’s Hip-Hop Summit Action Network, drew the likes of LL Cool J, T.I. and Nick Cannon in 2009, and just like 2009, VIP tickets will still carry the same eye-popping $2,500 price tag.
General admission tickets will be $500, including an open bar, food, DJ and a concert, though just who will be playing hasn’t been announced.
