Ex-GLAAD Target Brett Ratner Raising Cash for Gay Politician

Brett Ratner has come full circle with the gay community.

The director lost a gig producing the Oscars telecast two years ago for uttering the phrase, “rehearsal is for fags” after GLAAD targeted him for cultural condemnation. Now, Ratner is fundraising for New York City’s lesbian mayoral candidate Christine Quinn.

The “Rush Hour” and “Tower Heist” director has raised $28,400 as a bundler — in charge of collecting group contributions — for the City Council speaker’s run, campaign-finance reports show.

He raised the cash with the help of such Hollywood friends as Rob Reiner and Tom Hanks.
