Wyclef Jean joined his celebrity peers in condemning the acquittal of George Zimmerman, but he ratcheted up the rhetoric in a way most did not.
Jean shared his view of the trial during a Huffington Post chat:
“This, to me, feels like a new form of modern day lynching. If you actually could just shoot a 17-year-old kid and you walk way as if nothing happens, what kind of signal are you sending?” he asked.
Later, Jean claimed the revulsion he feels toward the case’s conclusion is echoed around the world.
