Samuel L. Jackson: It's 'Open Season' on Young Black Men

Actor Samuel L. Jackson reacted like many of his Hollywood peers to the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the shooting death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin. An injustice had been done, essentially, via the acquittal.

Now, Jackson is drawing attention to another case of a young black man who died from gunfire. Ramarley Graham was being pursued by a New York City police officer and allegedly refused several requests to raise his hands when he was shot and killed by the officer.

A grand jury decided against filing charges against the officer, although more legal challenges await him. Jackson decided for himself the case was another race-based injustice and fired off the following tweet as commentary:

NYC cop walks because he “thought” he had a gun?! In the bathroom, of his house, shot dead!! Young brothers Beware!! It’s Open Season!
