Adam Carolla, Dennis Prager Decry Erosion of Freedom at Your Local Beach

Podcast king Adam Carolla says few things epitomize the freedoms Americans enjoy than the local beach.

“It’s the shore, it’s how most people came here … after traveling long distances in the ocean,” Carolla told his podcast audience this week.

Those beaches are also a symbol of the erosion of basic pleasures under way in our modern culture.

Carolla, sharing the podcast microphone with guest and fellow broadcaster Dennis Prager, bemoaned an American culture which tramples upon core freedoms for the chance at making our lives a little more safe.

Carolla rattled off the list of banned item at a typical California beach–no football, no Frisbee, no dogs, no fireworks, no pit, no smoking and no alcohol.

“No, no, no, no … by the way, who owns the beach?” he asked? “This is the big disconnect for me. You don’t own the beach, government. We own the beach.”

“Everything is banned,” Prager added. “This is no longer the land of the free and the home of the brave. I’m not joking.”
