Celebrity in Chief: Obama's Twitter Account Sends Birthday Wishes to Bruce Springsteen

Give President Barack Obama credit. He knows enough to thanks the celebrities who helped him get elected–twice. Today, Obama tweeted out birthday wishes to 64-year-old rocker and Obama acolyte Bruce Springsteen.

Obama's Springsteen tweet

Did Obama’s Twitter account send out a classic Springsteen pose along with the shout out, a pic of the ageless rocker on stage during one of his marathon tour stops?

No. It’s a photo of Springsteen shaking Obama’s hand during one of the duo’s campaign stops. And it’s not the first time the Obama account thanked a celebrity for pushing his progressive policies.

Obama’s Twitter account is run by Organizing for America, Obama’s community organizational arm that believes campaigning doesn’t end after Election Day.
