R. Kelly Compares Chris Brown to MLK, Jesus Christ

R. Kelly is in Chris Brown’s corner.

Kelly, a rap star with a troubled past, gives credit to Brown for battling through adversity to become a better person. That quality puts him in some elite company, according to Kelly.

He got knocked down a little bit and he climbed up. You know, that sounds like Ali to me. That sounds like Martin Luther King to me.

“That sounds like a lot of the greats that have walked this earth. It even sounds a little bit like Jesus to me.

Brown, infamous for beating up girlfriend and fellow pop star Rihanna, is currently undergoing court-ordered anger management counseling.

Kelly has had his own legal issues away from the stage, including charges he had sex with an underage girl and was involved with child pornography. He was absolved of the former and had the charges dropped on the latter case.
