Jon Stewart Chuckles Over 'Knockout Games,' Claims not a Trend

Jon Stewart finds the notion of a possible “knockout game” trend absolutely hilarious.

Stewart brought up the brutal attacks on The Daily Show Monday night, chortling along as he described a series of physical assaults on innocent victims. The liberal comic couldn’t scrounge up much sympathy for the victims, nor did he think it might be helpful to boost the penalties against such assaults.

The show dubbed the rash of attacks Meet the Knockers to parody the Meet the Fockers film with a comical image of a fist surrounded by a comic book-style halo.

Instead, he used his favorite tool–the cherry picker–to insinuate the trend doesn’t actually exist while calling once more for stricter gun controls.
