Dylan Farrow Provides Facts Against Woody Allen; Brother Moses Says She Is Lying

Woody Allen penned an op-ed in The New York Times to deny the allegations that he molested his adoptive daughter Dylan Farrow. She fired back in The Hollywood Reporter, while the majority of women under 40 support her and her brother’s friend, former Presidential speechwriter Jon Lovett, came out in her defense. But her brother Moses does not believe Allen molested his sister.

Dylan said his op-ed is nothing but the same lies he has told for the past 20 years.

He insists my mother brought criminal charges – in fact, it was a pediatrician who reported the incident to the police based on my firsthand account. He suggests that no one complained of his misconduct prior to his assault on me – court documents show that he was in treatment for what his own therapist described as “inappropriate” behavior with me from as early as 1991. He offers a carefully worded claim that he passed a lie detector test – in fact, he refused to take the test administered by the state police (he hired someone to administer his own test, which authorities refused to accept as evidence).

Allen’s attorney, Elan Abrahamowitz, told CNN the experts at Yale New Haven sex abuse clinic found no evidence of abuse and determined Farrow did coach Dylan. Lovett stated on Twitter that Dylan has never changed her story and that the evidence contradicts Abrahamowitz’s statement:

However, Ronan’s friend Jon tweeted: ‘A babysitter was so unnerved by what she caught Woody Allen doing to Dylan, his head in her lap, she sounded the first alarm,’ and posted the court statement by judge Eliot Wilks that read: ‘Ms. Farrow’s statement to Dr. Coates that she hoped that Dylan’s statements were a fantasy is inconsistent with the notion of brainwashing.

‘In this regard, I also credit the testimony of Ms. Groteke, who was charged with supervising Mr Allen’s August 4 visit with Dylan. She testified that she did not tell Ms. Farrow until after Dylan’s statement of August 5 that Dylan and Mr Allen were unaccounted for during fifteen or twenty minutes on August 4.

‘It is highly unlikely that Mr Farrow would have encouraged Dylan to accuse her father of having sexually molested her during a period in which Ms Farrow believed they were in the presence of a babysitter. However, I do not believe that Ms. Farrow would have exposed her daughter and her other children to the consequences of the Connecticut investigation and this litigation if she did not believe the possible truth of Dylan’s accusation.

The judge continued: ‘In a society where children are too often betrayed by adults who ignore or disbelieve their complaints of abuse, Ms. Farrow’s determination to protect Dylan is commendable.’

Frank Maco was the Connecticut prosecutor at the time and did not bring charges because he thought Dylan was too emotionally fragile. He hopes she understands why he did not pursue charges against him. Maco did say there was enough evidence to charge Allen with abuse, and he lost visitation rights with the children. The statute of limitations ran out 15 years ago and Allen will never face prosecution.

Maureen Orth at Vanity Fair presented ten facts about the case, which includes many of the same points Lovett tweeted. She also pointed out Allen was in therapy for alleged inappropriate behavior towards Dylan with a child psychologist. Farrow told babysitters Allen was not to be alone with the little girl. The case by the sex abuse clinic was deemed unreliable by the judge and prosecutor. The doctors never met with Dylan and the panel did not contain a single psychologist or psychiatrist. Dylan’s story never changed, but Allen’s story about where the abuse took place did change after his hair was found on a painting in the attic.

Vanity Fair uploaded the 33-page decision from the judge.

While Lovett is a friend of the family, Orth said she is not, even though people accused her of helping her supposed long-time friend. She said she met Farrow and Dylan in 2003 and did not talk to her again until April 2013 for a piece.

Unfortunately for Dylan, her own brother Moses, 36, told People magazine that he does not believe his sister and thinks Allen is innocent. He said Farrow turned the kids against him after the pair divorced after she found naked pictures Allen took of her 19-year-old adopted daughter Soon-Yi Priven.

My mother drummed it into me to hate my father for tearing apart the family and sexually molesting my sister,’ he told People magazine.

‘And I hated him for her for years. I see now that this was a vengeful way to pay him back for falling in love with Soon-Yi.

Dylan said her brother is dead to her.
