George Lopez Arrested for Public Intoxication, Slept on Casino Floor

Comedian George Lopez followed up a gig at the Caesars Windsor Thursday by sleeping on the casino’s floor.

The stand-up was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication and later released.

TMZ.com reported that the 52-year-old comedian was arrested after he passed out on the casino floor shortly after he performed earlier in the evening.

Lopez released the following statement regarding his arrest: “Tied one on last night. Not feeling great this morning. I was trying to sleep it off, unfortunately, it was on the casino floor.”

A casino spokesman said Lopez, who is slated to perform a show tonight at the casino, will go on as planned.

Lopez’s act involves comical reflections on his heritage plus a smattering of politics. He vowed to move to Canada if Sarah Palin became president and also called her a “bitch.”

He stars in a new FX comedy called Saint George starting March 6.
