'The View' Hosts Pay Tribute to Lena Dunham's 'Girls,' Do Segment Nude

Two co-hosts from The View went au naturel Monday in an attempt to mimic HBO’s sexually charged dramedy Girls.

Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd took their tops off while discussing Girls, the show famous for co-star/creator Lena Dunham’s frequent nudity.

You know she [Lena] gets press every week for being naked,” Shepherd explained. “So we’re jumping on the bandwagon!”

McCarthy added, “It’s true. We want more ratings, too!

Actually, Girls gets lousy ratings week in, week out, even with all the extra press attention regarding Dunham’s copious nude scenes.

While Dunham can be seen in toto on the series, both McCarthy and Shepherd had black squares digitally covering them to keep with broadcast decency standards.
