Rapper Macklemore basked in industry love when he sang his pro-gay marriage anthem Same Love at the Grammy Awards earlier this year.
Now, he’s being questioned by stars and strangers alike after appearing in a stage costume that struck some as an ugly Jewish stereotype. The rapper donned a fake beard, hooked nose and wig during a Friday concert appearance in Seattle.
Macklemore used his Twitter account to deny there was any meaning behind the costume.
A fake witches nose, wig, and beard = random costume. Not my idea of a stereotype of anybody.

Comedic actor Seth Rogen didn’t let the conflict pass without sharing his own dig via social media.
.@macklemore, first you trick people into thinking you’re a rapper, now you trick them into thinking you’re Jewish? pic.twitter.com/3rtaE4GHje
