Deadline.com Gives Hillary Thumbs Up for Gaffe-Free Interviews

Deadline.com reports that Hillary Clinton’s double barrel interviews this week with Fox News and CNN didn’t draw blood, meaning the presumptive Presidential candidate failed to leave a trail of gaffes as she did at the kickoff to her book tour.

The site seemed bemused by the fact that Benghazi questions took up so much screen time, with both CNN and Fox News prodding Clinton on the subject.

The Hollywood site breathed a sigh of relief that the former Secretary of State survived the interview process.

When the dust settled, Clinton emerged with mostly good marks for the important back-to-back interviews. Ironically, same cannot be said of Baier and his FNC interview partner Greta Van Susteren, who got blasted by some of the more exuberant tweeters at #HillaryFox News — which FNC set up for conversational purposes — for allowing Clinton to walk away from their Q&A with no loss of blood.

Of course, none of this might have mattered ultimately. Ratings for both interviews underwhelmed, and Clinton’s current book sales aren’t giving Stephen King and John Grisham the willies.
