When pro-Second Amendment Senatorial candidate Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) (R) won the Georgia primary in July, rapper Juaquin Malphurs–aka Waka Flocka–“phoned Perdue to congratulate him.”
The Georgia Tipsheet reports the rapper also tweeted congratulations to Perdue, but “scrubbed the [tweet] after fans bristled.”
So no one knew if Waka Flocka’s phone call was indicative of support for Perdue or whether it just signified recognition that the Republican candidate did a great job in winning the primary.
But the Tipsheet says these questions were answered during a Buckhead, Georgia election-watch party for Perdue on November 4. Waka Flocka showed up at that party, smiled, and posed for photos with other Perdue supporters.
The watch-party was a “political function” that one would not attend unless one was there to see Perdue–now Senator-elect Perdue–win.
