The cancellation of Queen Latifah’s day time talk show was announced last month, but that won’t stop the show’s former host from paying her staff through the holidays, reports E! Online.

The Queen Latifah Show will continue its final run through March, but after the cancellation, her production crew is reportedly no longer necessary, meaning the entire crew was laid off.

Latifah has vowed to ensure that her former staff is taken care of during the holiday season and is reportedly paying them out of her own pocket.

She sent a message to her crew on her Facebook page, thanking them for their hard work:

Your dedication and sacrifice was crucial to the entire team, and in the face of intense challenges, you displayed ‘True Grit’!

Thank you for your strong work ethic and great effort in getting The Queen Latifah Show off the ground and running.

Latifah went on to thank the crew’s family members and anyone affiliated with production, telling them to be proud of their work.

“We truly changed people’s lives for the better. So…stay positive, stay strong, and most important, stay open…There is so much more God has in store,” she said.

“The most important thing in life is that you wake up every single day and take chances,” she finished. “No matter what the outcome…believe in yourself and continue to fly.”

The show, which was produced by Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, ends a two-year run that featured guests such as Bill Clinton, Sir Ben Kingsley, and Nicole Kidman.
