Five People Shot Overnight at Chris Brown Concert

Five people were hit by gunfire overnight while attending a Chris Brown performance at a San Jose nightclub, reports TMZ.

The incident, which was caught on video, happened around 1:20 a.m. PST as Brown performed his single “Loyal” to a special VIP crowd for a birthday event. No fatalities have been reported, however police told San Jose’s Mercury News that five people were taken to the hospital with injuries.

Police also said several people were detained after the shooting, however they have not released any additional details.

Brown can be seen on stage in the video singing just as the gunfire erupted. He later took to social media to tell fans he was okay, tweeting “I’m 100.”

All five victims are expected to survive.
