Couple Performs ‘Sex Act’ on Stage at Dead Kennedys Concert

A man and woman were recorded engaging in a sex act onstage during a Dead Kennedys concert performance Thursday in Solana Beach, California.

The hardcore punk rock band was performing at the Belly Up Tavern in the affluent beach community, when a pair of concertgoers got belly up… well, one of them.

A man named Chris, who attended the show, spoke to San Diego’s Team 10 about the incident, saying, “This was something definitely different to see at a punk concert.”

The unnamed couple reportedly stole the show for a few moments, which led a number of bar patrons to pause and take photos, before returning back to their previous listening positions.

“I think it was more an oddity, people just saw something strange for a few minutes,” Chris said.

Officials with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department say no official complaints have been made about the act, however they are working with management to further investigate.

Penal Code 314 reportedly states that any person who exposes his or herself in a public place can face a misdemeanor if others are “offended or annoyed.”

A spokesperson for the venue said security escorted the pair out of the building, and Belly Up management released a statement saying, “Of course, we don’t condone this activity in our establishment and security stopped it right away. This is certainly a first for us.”
