The film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey will be the most erotic mainstream movie to be released in more than ten years, according to a new report.

The website “Mr Skin” ranks films by the amount of sex scenes and they are calling the highly anticipated Fifty Shades “raunchiest of the decade.”

Approximately one-fifth of the film features sex scenes, a dozen to be exact, which means 20 minutes of the 100 minute flick feature the “build up and titillation of touch and sensuality.”

Actor Jamie Dornan, who plays BDSM loving Christian Grey, admits the film is sexual, but doesn’t believe it to be pornographic or even erotic.

“I just wouldn’t use the word ‘erotic,’ it brings up different ideas for me. I just think we tried to make a good picture, you know?” he told the Sunday Times.

Director Sam Taylor Johnson remarked that the film is an accurate depiction of the novel but warned it may not be as explicit as many hope for. “I didn’t want it to be graphically explicit, and I know that’s going to be disappointing to some people,” she said.

“The thing that was most difficult was how and where to pepper the sex, and to not make it feel like it was gratuitous,” she continued. “So it had to be a really strong part of the story, and I had to give characterization to each sex scene, to make them different.”

The film is an adaptation of E.L. James’ three-novel series, which has sold more than 100 million copies and been translated into 52 languages.

Fifty Shades of Grey will make its U.S. debut on Feb. 14.

A new TV spot for the film, shown during the Super Bowl on Sunday, says the film’s trailers have amassed 250 million online views.
