Super Bowl heroes Malcolm Butler and Julian Edelman dished out a Grammy Sunday night. Their teammate wants to dish out a beating to a Grammy winner.
New England Patriots cornerback Brandon Browner lashed out at Kanye West on Twitter for rushing the stage, a la his infamous hijacking of Taylor Swift’s moment at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, before rushing back to his seat when Beck won Album of the Year over Beyoncé and others at the Grammy Awards show. What appeared as a self-deprecating joke during the broadcast took on more ungracious connotations after the show, as West criticized Beck for not respecting “artistry” and giving his award to Beyoncé.
KANYE WEST is a sucka! Everybody don’t listen to Beyoncé. Second time he tried to steal somebody shine. First time it was a 15 yr old girl

Peep who he tried Beck and Taylor Swift. Real tough guy. If only I could’ve been Beck for one night. Kanye would be rapping thru the wire

“I just know that the Grammys, if they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us,” West maintained following the broadcast. “We ain’t gonna play with them no more. And Beck needs to respect artistry and he should’ve given his award to Beyoncé.”
The physical cornerback, who has about eight inches and fifty pounds on the Chicago rapper, pointed to a CBSSports.com article noting that Beck writes all of his songs and played 14 instruments on the award-winning “Morning Phase.” Beyoncé sings and relies on a team of songwriters about as numerous as the New England Patriots.
Respect artistry?
