On May 5 country singer Brantley Gilbert posted a Facebook photo of his new tattoo and took his support of the Second Amendment “to another level.”

The tattoo features two 1911 handguns, aimed down, with the words, “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of the state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed,” emblazoned beneath them.

Gilbert commented on the tattoo, saying: “So BG nation…. I wanted to take my support of the 2nd amendment to another level, so my boy Carl Grace came by the house and hooked me up yesterday!!!” He has various photos on his Facebook page to allow followers to see the stages of the tattoo and various drawings/sketches for the guns.

Gilbert’s stand for the 2nd Amendment comes less than one month after Breitbart News reported that two other country artists–Tim McGraw and Chase Bryant–will be singing a gun control fundraiser in Connecticut on July 17
