Rapper Layzie Bone sprung into action to save a Wyoming man’s life shortly before he was scheduled to go onstage to perform a concert.
The Bone Thugs N’ Harmony rapper, real name Steven Howse, was on his way to a concert in Riverton, Wyoming when he spotted a motorist in front of him driving erratically.
“He started swerving,” Layzie told local ABC affiliate K2TV. “We like, ‘Oh my god, this guy’s gonna kill himself.’ He hit the dirt and came back, and when the concrete met his tires, he started spinning instantly.”
“Turns out after we stopped to check on him he was having a diabetic shock,” the rapper explained on his Instagram account.
Luckily, an EMS was apparently driving right behind the rapper, and he stopped to provide care to the man.
“He didn’t know who anybody was, so I said, ‘Do you know Bone Thugs N’ Harmony?’ And he kind woke up. He was like, ‘Yeah,'” Layzie told K2TV.
The “#1 Assassin” also thanked the “cute old couple in the RV” for stopping to provide apples and oranges to help get the man’s blood sugar back up.
“I’m not doing this interview to be no type of hero, like they put it,” he said. “I’m not that person. I genuinely care about people.”
