Dave Grohl Breaks Leg Mid-Concert, Finishes Set

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl badly injured his leg during a show in Gothenberg, Sweden after taking a nasty fall offstage, but quickly returned to finish the set.

A video shot by a fan and uploaded to YouTube captures the aftermath of the incident:

“Ladies and gentlemen… I think I just broke my leg,” Grohl told the crowd after the band stopped playing. “I think I really broke my leg.”

“Right now, I’m gonna go to the hospital to fix my leg, but then I’m gonna come back and we’re gonna play for you again,” Grohl promised.

According to USA Today, Grohl indeed came back out later and finished performing. Photos posted to Reddit appear to show Grohl finishing out the performance while seated in a chair, with a cast on his leg and medics tending to him.

Foo Fighters are in the middle of their Sonic Highways tour. It wasn’t immediately clear how Grohl’s injury would affect the rest of the band’s scheduled performances. The band was scheduled to play in Heden, Sweden on Friday night.
