Play as Opposite Faction in New ‘World of Warcraft’ Mercenary Mode

World of Warcraft has announced a new player vs. player (PvP) mode that will allow gamers to battle as a member of the opposing Horde or Alliance factions in Ashran or Battlegrounds.

This mode will be available when players are waiting to enter unrated Battlegrounds or Ashran.

Playing as mercenaries of the opposite faction entitles gamers to the same rewards that they would get as their own faction, excluding faction-specific ones. Players’ races will also be changed to those of the opposite faction for the duration of the battle. The system promises shorter wait times, and developer Blizzard says they will debut the feature in Public Test Realm soon.
