On Tuesday’s episode of The View, which was dedicated solely to the show’s “Hot Topics” segment, Project Runway junior judge and former Fashion Police co-host Kelly Osbourne went after the billionaire frontrunner, and asked a question that is drawing the ire of social media.
“If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilet, Donald Trump?” Kelly asked during a conversation about Trump’s high poll numbers, which was initiated by co-host Whoopi Goldberg.
Watch a clip of the cringeworthy moment below:
After a shocked Rosie Perez began to correct the 30-year-old rock and roll legacy, Osbourne immediately dialed back the comment, explaining: “In the sense that…you know what I mean? But I’m saying that in L.A., they always…”
The other ladies cut her off, with Perez explaining, “Latinos are not only the only people doing that.”
Osbourne then forced her way back into the conversation, saying, “No, I didn’t mean it like that! Come on! I would never mean it like that! I’m not part of this argument,” but the damage was done.
“Kelly Osbourne is on our side and I was sensitive,” Perez said to Osbourne later in the show. “My disdain should go to only Donald Trump, so I’m sorry, darling.”
Despite an appeal to viewers by Perez to go easy on Kelly and aim their anger at Trump, Twitter let Kelly have it:
This Kelly Osbourne thing is an example of how liberal racism feels superior to right wing racism but is still just regular ol' racism…

I wonder if Kelly Osbourne will throw herself under the racist bus as hard as she threw Giuliana Rancic?
