Kanye West – who rapped to GOP presidential candidate during a 30 minute phone call – doesn’t have any plans in the foreseeable future to join Carson on the campaign trail.

Carson’s business manager, Armstrong Williams, told Breitbart News the two parties “have to go slow with those kind of things,” adding, “Dr. Carson’s very respectful. He’s not a politician, so his initial reaction is not to ask for anything. He’s just talking to somebody who has a lot of influence.”

Kanye spent roughly 30 minutes on a personal phone call with Dr. Ben Carson awhile ago, but roughly ten minutes of the call was Kanye rapping.

“[Carson] thinks [Kanye] is a genius,” Williams told The Guardian about the phone call. “He’s grateful, and he’s looking forward to Kanye getting involved in the campaign,” adding that Carson would reach out to Kanye in the next few days.

The Guardian asked if Carson was considering Kanye as a running mate. Williams answered, “No, because Kanye’s running in 2020. Kanye’s made it very clear he wants to run himself.”

“As soon as I heard [Ben] Carson speak, I tried for three weeks to get on the phone with him. I was like this is the most brilliant guy,” Kanye said in his interview with Vanity Fair.

Williams explained to Breitbart News that Kanye had tried to get in touch with Carson “for almost three weeks.” He eventually found the contact information for Carson’s executive assistance and Kanye and Dr. Carson’s office set up a time for the call.

“They must have talked over 30 minutes because Kanye was on the phone rapping,” Williams said. “He must have rapped for Dr. Carson for ten minutes,” Williams said with a laugh. “It was kind of funny.”

“Dr. Carson was just flattered that Kanye was on the phone giving him a personal concert,” Williams explained, saying Kanye wanted to “educate Dr. Carson that rap music wasn’t all bad.”

Williams told Breitbart News that nothing about Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian, nor the Kardashian family, was mentioned during the phone call.

“It was just a funny moment. Dr. Carson was on the phone with Kanye West,” Williams chuckled. “They talked, had a good time. He told him he admired him, respected him.”

“He showed Dr. Carson that he’s a free thinker, thought outside the box – didn’t really care what everybody else thought.” Williams concluded. “Dr. Carson was just flattered that Kanye was on the phone giving him a personal concert.”
