A person working on The View revealed Tuesday co-host and moderator Whoopi Goldberg spent a portion of last week referring to herself as ABC’s “slave” and “n—ger,” to protest unjust treatment at the hands of network brass.

Goldberg reportedly correlated working outside the terms of her four-year $20 million contract with the treatment of slaves living as property in the antebellum South.

“She was out of control,” a source told The Daily Mail. “She paraded up and down the halls saying, ‘I’s a work for ABC who is my master. I’s a slave to ABC. It’s 12 Years a Whoopi at ABC.’”

Goldberg added, “I’s just a n—ger following orders around here, master,” after becoming upset the network had moved “Hot Topics” segment meetings from 9am, Goldberg’s contract starting hour, to 8:30.

As moderator and co-host, Goldberg makes $5 million a year, and has a reported net worth of $45 million.

Whoopi is in the final year of her current contract with the show, and according to Mail’s source, “is at the point where she couldn’t care less and keeps reminding everyone that if they don’t like her style, then pay her the rest of her money and send her home.”

Goldberg is rumored be involved in an ongoing dispute with her new consulting producer, Candi Carter.

The 59-year-old vaguely responded to to a request for comment from TMZ Tuesday afternoon. She was asked by the site if there was currently any “bad blood” between her and ABC.

She responded: “Bad blood is like a bad period. That’s what bad blood means to me.”
