Watch: Kate Winslet Narrates Anti-Bullying Short Film for Kids

Actress Kate Winslet has lent her voice to create a short film for children, to combat bullying.

Winslet, 40, previously admitted she was ridiculed in school for her weight, and is now the narrator of an anti-bullying short film, called Daisy Chains.

Daisy Chains, directed by Galvin Scott Davis, is about a young girl, named Buttercup Bree, who is bullied by her peers.

With the help of a friend, Buttercup learns to create a “daisy chain” so resilient that even the bullies cannot break through.

When speaking to Independent this Summer about being bullied by her classmates as a child, Winslet recounted a time she came face-to-face with one of the girls she remembers being “particularly horrible” to her in school.

“She was working on a beauty counter in a department store,” the actress said. “I went up to her and said ‘I want to thank you for being such a b*tch because it made me a lot stronger.”
