John Boyega, who is a rebellious Stormtrooper named Finn in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, answered questions about his sex life, or lack there of, and the controversy surrounding his casting in the new blockbuster film.

When asked if he had to hide things like “smoking weed” and “having sex” from his father, Boyega said, “Those things I don’t indulge in. I’m a Disney guy. Finn is a virgin, people,” he said during a Sirius XM Radio interview.

Boyega was born in London to Nigerian parents. His father, who he has “always been open with,” is still a minister.

Responding to the criticism about there being a “black Stormtrooper” in Star Wars, Boyega says he’d like to “fixate” on “the true Star Wars fans who are just ready to see a good movie despite my gorgeous chocolate skin.”

The film set a new ticket pre-sale record, crashing several online merchant websites in the process.

The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams responded to the “black Stormtrooper” kerfuffle, telling Howard Stern, “I think the people who are complaining about that probably have bigger problems than ‘there’s a black Stormtrooper.'”

Boyega also confirmed that Robert Downey Jr. is his mentor.
