The latest trailer for the film adaptation of the massively popular video game Warcraft dropped online Tuesday.
Here’s the official synopsis for the Warcraft CGI slugfest from Legendary Entertainment:
The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people, and their home.
From the looks of the trailer, the movie will blend the stylistic flourishes of the video game with some real-world drama.
Ben Foster, Paula Patton, Travis Fimmel, and Dominic Cooper star.
Warcraft was directed by Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code) off of a script he co-authored with Charles Leavitt (In The Heart of The Sea, Blood Diamond).
The film is in theaters June 10.
