Actress Salma Hayek took to Twitter on Tuesday to bash GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump over a recent gaffe in which he substituted “7-11” for “9/11” while speaking at a campaign stop.
“I am a dyslexic Mexican and English is my second language, however even I do not confuse 7/11 with 9/11,” the 49-year-old Oscar nominee tweeted.

Trump was speaking at a rally at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo ahead of the New York primary on Monday when he made the slip-up while praising the state’s response to terrorism: “I was down there, and I watch our police and our firemen down on 7-11, down at the World Trade Center, right after it came down and I saw the greatest people I have ever seen in action.”
Hayek has been a vocal critic of Trump ever since he announced his candidacy for president. In a July interview with E!, the actress refused to say the Republican frontrunner’s name, not wishing to give him any “extra publicity.”
“I’m aware that he would say anything to attract attention and create the publicity around him,” Hayek said of Trump. “If something generates publicity, I would never be surprised about anything he does.”
In an interview the same month with the Los Angeles Times, Hayek said she wasn’t offended by Trump’s comments about immigration “because I cannot be insulted by stupidity.”
“Everybody’s entitled to have uninformed opinions,” she told the paper. “Everybody’s entitled to be dumb. But I’m not dumb, so I see through the manipulation.
Hayek is supporting Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential race.
