During a red carpet interview for the premiere of his latest film, Johnny Depp suggested that a Donald Trump presidency would be “exciting” for America because the billionaire real estate mogul would be the “actual last president of the United States.”

“If Donald Trump is elected president of the United States of America, in a kind of historical way it’s exciting,” Depp said, “because we will see the actual last president of the United States.”

“It just wouldn’t work after that,” the Pirates of the Caribbean star said.

Johnny Depp made headlines last month after he was seen putting on his best Donald Trump impersonations during a lecture at Arizona State University.

“There’s something creative about him in the sense of bullydom, but what he is, I believe, is a brat,” Depp said of Trump, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

In February, far-left comedy website Funny or Die unleashed a star-studded faux Trump biopic based on his bestselling book The Art of the Deal, staring Depp as Trump.

The 52-year-old Hollywood A-lister was in London this week for a screening of Alice Through the Looking Glass, the sequel to his 2010 blockbuster Alice In Wonderland.

Asked whether or not the Republican party’s presumptive nominee can count on his support in November, Depp declined to back Trump, because he “does not believe in that stuff.”
