Beauty and the Beast fans got their first look this week at Disney’s live-action remake set for next year, even if it was just a brief teaser.
The 90-second Beauty and the Beast teaser features brief clips of the Oscar-winning music featured in the 1991 animated hit, which starred Robby Benson and Paige O’Hara in the title roles.
This time around, Harry Potter actress Emma Watson takes on the role of Belle, while Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey, The Guest) plays Beast.
The trailer gives fans a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it look at Watson as Belle, but that’s basically it.
The star-studded cast is rounded out by Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Josh Gad as Le Fou, Stanley Tucci as Cadenza and Luke Evans as Gaston.
Bill Condon (Dreamgirls, Chicago) directs off of a script from Evan Spillotopoulos and Stephen Chbosky.
Beauty and the Beast is in theaters March 17, 2017.
