Funny or Die Recruits Ken Jeong for Primetime Video Skit at DNC

Liberal comedy website and functioning Democratic Party outreach vehicle Funny or Die recruited actor Ken Jeong for a video mocking Donald Trump that aired in primetime during the Democratic National Convention Monday night.

Titled “Donald Decoded,” the clip features the 47-year-old Hangover star and Obama administration Cabinet member and economist Austan Goolsbee discussing where Trump manufactures his products.

“Holy Melania!” Jeong exclaims when he learns that Trump products are not made exclusively in the United States.

“So Austan, Donald Trump says he will bring back jobs to America when he himself made millions outsourcing his own Donald Trump stuff to be made everywhere else?” Jeong asks.

“That is a pretty astute observation, Ken,” Gooslbee replies.

Funny or Die — founded by friends and frequent collaborators Will Ferrell and Adam McKay in 2007 — has long served as a platform for Democrats to trash conservative causes and politicians, though this marks the first time a video from the group has played at a political convention.

Earlier this year, the website released a “lost” TV movie based on Donald Trump’s The Art of the Deal, starring Johnny Depp as Trump.

The outlet has also released videos like the “Indiana Anti-Gay Tourism Commercial” and previously invited President Obama on to its popular web series “Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis” to promote the Affordable Care Act.

Most recently, the website released a parody video starring Canadian comedian Tom Green, who rapped to an audience full of Nazis and Ku Klux Klan members while dressed as Trump.
