Actor and comedian Tim Allen says the elite liberal celebrities in Hollywood who accuse President-elect Donald Trump of being a bully are themselves the bigger bullies.
“What I find odd in Hollywood is that they didn’t like Trump because he was a bully,” Allen told Fox News host Megyn Kelly Monday night on The Kelly File. “But if you had any kind of inkling that you were for Trump, you got bullied for doing that. And it gets a little bit hypocritical to me.”
Allen, the rare openly conservative Hollywood actor, came on to promote his ABC sitcom, Last Man Standing.
The 63-year-old TV icon said he didn’t think Gigi Hadid’s impression of Melania Trump at the American Music Awards was “appropriate for that venue.”
“I’m not a spokesman for Hollywood, I’m a comedian. So I get to tour around the country and do comedy and I do a show that has a point of view,” he said.

Allen said his character on Last Man Standing, Mike Baxter, is a conservative. And although the show is “written by liberals,” it’s still smart and funny to Americans of every philosophical stripe.
Allen says his “larger view,” politically speaking, is that he doesn’t “like people telling me what to do.”
“If you think this government works good, the size it is, I’m one of these guys, ‘just make it smaller,'” he said. “Certainly, for a Democrat,” Allen says “you should be happy” about Trump’s election given early reports about his wanting to pursue infrastructure spending while not cutting entitlements.
Allen says he gives Trump the “benefit of the doubt” because “he may in fact be a guy who wants to be funnier that he is.”
“You get bullied into a position, but I don’t want to defend the guy,” Allen explained. “To me, he acts like a new talent comedian. These are guys that have great material that have very bad comedy timing. And he’s got terrible timing.”
