Actress Lisa Edelstein, best known for her role on the Fox medical drama House, jumped to her Twitter feed Tuesday to react to the death of Canadian actor Alan Thicke — but instead of mourning the loss, Edelstein used the beloved actor’s death as a means to attack President-Elect Donald Trump.

After noting that the Growing Pains actor had died, Edelstein went on to quip, “Seems like everyone is checking out before the Trumpacolypse.”

The actress found very little support on her own Twitter feed, with fans and critics alike slamming her for injecting her shameful, left-wing partisanship into a tweet about someone’s death.

The tweet from Delia Enrqyez was typical of the excoriation the actress endured over her insensitive tweet.

But the condemnation was nearly universal.

Alan Thicke was best known as the patriarch of the Seaver clan on the long-running 1980s ABC family sitcom Growing Pains.

Thicke died of a heart attack at the age of 69 on Wednesday. The actor was reportedly playing hockey with his 19-year-old son at Pickwick Ice in Burbank, California, and was reportedly joking about the bad coffee at the arena only moments before he suffered a massive heart attack. He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital not long after being found slumped on a bench near the ice.
