Watch: Colin Farrell Takes Over for Clint Eastwood in ‘The Beguiled’ Trailer

The Sofia Coppola-directed remake of the Clint Eastwood-starring 1971 film The Beguiled got its first trailer this week.

In the update, Colin Farrell stars as John McBurney, a Confederate soldier imprisoned in a girls’ boarding school who strikes up romantic relationships with several of the women who are holding him captive.

Eastwood played McBurney in the original film.

Coppola (Lost in Translation) penned the script off of the original novel by Thomas Cullinan.

Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst, Elle Fanning and Angourie Rice co-star.

The Beguiled is in theaters June 30.
