Diversity of Opinions on Fox and CNN While MSNBC Remains a 'No Conservative Zone'

The political contrast between MNBC and its cable counterparts tonight is striking.

All evening, on CNN, Anderson Cooper has been moderating a diverse panel of both Republicans and Democrats, including conservatives like Red State’s Erick Erickson along with Mary Matalin and Bill Bennett who counter-balance liberals such as James Carville, Paul Begala and Elliott Spitzer.

Over at Fox News, hosts Bret Baier and Megyn Kelly have talked to guests as diverse as Bob Beckel, Geraldine Ferraro, Juan Williams, Sarah Palin, Karl Rove, and Mick Huckabee.

MSNBC, however, is an absolute echo chamber of fevered leftism with only Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, Eugene Robinson, Ed Schultz, Lawrence O’Donnell, Rachel Maddow, and the occasional lefty like Howard Fineman and Governor Ed Rendell. Sure they had Rep. Michele Bachmann on but only to try and humiliate her (which backfired beautifully).

Good grief, MSNBC won’t even allow a squish on like Joe Scarborough. Even CNN gave Kathleen Parker a seat at the table.

How telling that once again, Fox News offers their audience the full spectrum of opinion while MSNBC operates like a Marxist masturbation re-education camp. It makes sense that liberals would find this comforting but it can’t be all that interesting. When Chuck Todd’s goatee is the only thing shaking things up, it might be time to rethink the old business plan.

Seriously, though, what is MSNBC afraid of?
