Media Trashes Unconfirmed Palin Twitter Over Spelling, Ignores White House Mistake

The Daily Mail is running with a piece in which it identifies, without confirmation (and a denial from the Palin camp) that the Twitter profile @mckinely777 is actually the secret profile of Sarah Palin.

It’s in her home state, it’s America’s highest peak and she’s even climbed part of it.

But Sarah Palin seemingly cannot spell Mount McKinley.

See, they had to put “seemingly” in there to save their backsides from printing falsehoods. While Palin denied that she operates any ghost accounts, the Daily Mail saw fit to go ahead and claim this one as hers and mock it for the handle’s spelling.

She wrote: ‘On a side note, there’s always buzz about fake Sarah Palin Facebook and Twitter accounts.

‘Please know that this is my only authentic Facebook account and SarahPalinUSA is my only authentic Twitter account.

Pay no attention to the fake accounts and their fake messages.’

The idea of the secret Palin Twitter account came from a disgruntled aide who’s hocking his supermarket-bat-boy/gossip grade “tell all.”

Yes. Our President is shuffling around like a lost schoolboy on Middle Easter issues and Libyans are dying but Sarah Palin’s Twitter account, guys!

Speaking of the President and Libya, the publication was silent when the President’s known and confirmed White House Twitter account featured the misspelling of “Libya” in a recent update:

I see no need for a British tabloid to opine about American politics when they can’t be bothered to raise their standard of criticism to be fairly, and accurately, applicable.
