I’m amused that Sharpton spends a portion of his news program addressing … Rush Limbaugh.
I also love that he falls back on the classic defense of “Ah! He took the bait! I made myself look silly and risk getting this slot so I could … bait … Rush Limbaugh! Yes! And the bait, you took it without resisting you much!” Baiting is done intentionally, not accidentally, and it doesn’t become bait in hindsight.
Larry O’Connor over at Breitbart.tv adds:
It’s very interesting that Al Sharpton has characterized his epic flub as “I messed up a line” yet he does not actually play the clip so his audience can judge for themselves. He just plays Rush Limbaugh talking about the gaffe instead of actually showing the world what he did.Any objective viewer would conclude that he didn’t just “use one word rather than another”… He used a whole lot of words in a random order so that they ended up meaning absolutely nothing.
And we took the bait, Larry!
I never thought I’d say this, but I miss Cenk. Cenk wasn’t unintentionally hilarious though. Dilemma!
