Jesse Griffin, the anti-Palin blogger who was the recipient of a self-damning email from Random House author Joe McGinniss released yesterday by Andrew Breitbart, has accused Breitbart of “hacking” his email.
Griffin published his accusation in a blog post today, in which he attempts to dismiss revelations that McGinniss had published, as fact, “tawdry gossip” about Sarah Palin and her family that McGinniss apparently knew to be unsubstantiated.
Griffen writes:
The MUCH more important question in my mind is HOW did Breitbart get that e-mail?I don’t share my private e-mails with ANYBODY! At least on my end, the only two people who should have seen it are Joe and I. And really WHY would Joe send it to anybody else?
So is it possible that we now have an American case of News Corp phone hacking techniques being used by a well known contributor to Fox News? That is the question that I want to see answered!
As with many of Griffin’s other false speculations, he provides no supporting evidence, because it does not exist.
Similar false allegations of “hacking” arose during the Weinergate scandal of late May and early June 2011.
