MMfA PROPAGANDA WATCH: Media Matters Flubs Attempted Loesch Smear

I had to laugh at the SEIU-funded Media Matters’ latest attempt to discredit the actual story behind the “booed gay soldier.”

Loesch responded on Andrew Breitbart’s Big Journalism, claiming that President Obama had deliberately lied about the booing.

Do Media Matters’ writers lack reading comprehension? Loesch never said Obama lied about booing but rather who actually booed. It wasn’t the audience, it was a couple of cranks whose political affiliations are unknown.

As evidence that Obama was lying, Loesch linked to a previous blog post she had written, claiming that she had “thoroughly debunked” the booing story.

It wasn’t just Loesch who debunked the story, the people in attendance debunked it. On Twitter. Live, as it was happening.

But her previous blog actually confirms the fact that the soldier was booed at the debate.

But not by the audience. Media Matters’ Marcus Feldman is attempting, and failing, to manipulate Loesch’s answer into something it wasn’t and his attempt is backfiring because the effort just makes him look illiterate. The President blamed the entire audience for booing. Loesch corrects this.

Simply because author Marcus Feldman lacks the intelligence to figure out who Loesch was defending and condemning in her post doesn’t make it a lie.

Obama’s words:

Loesch’s words:

It was a lie to willfully misstate that the actions of a couple of individuals were instead from the entire audience.

Interesting how Marcus Feldman didn’t touch the part where Loesch mentions the union thugs who attacked the business in Washington and took hostages. Remember: Media Matters receives money from a union. They have to be careful and not compromise their gravy train.

Media Matters is unconcerned with publishing lies, like they didn’t care about publishing this lie, this lie, or this lie. No, they’ve never retracted or corrected a single debunked lie they’ve published. It’s one of many reasons why they’re mocked by the media they claim to be.

In her blog post, Loesch had quoted conservative activist Sara Rumpf who was in the audience for the debate in question, and “[t]here was audible booing after [Hill’s] question…however, please note that it was not the crowd booing It was only one or two people.”

[…]

Loesch did say at one point in her first blog post that “you don’t boo a soldier in the battlefield, period.” But otherwise, the posts were squarely aimed at defending the audience and attacking Obama.

Yes, Loesch defended the audience from Obama’s misrepresentation that they booed at the soldier when in fact, they hissed at the two cranks who stood up to boo the soldier’s question.

Did Media Matters’ Marcus Feldman get a quote from anyone at the debate who contradicted the first-hand reports that it wasn’t just two individuals? No, no he didn’t. That would be actual journalism, which is the opposite of the propaganda Media Matters produces.

No wonder Media Matters’ traffic has tanked, if this is the sort of halfwit “analysis” they regularly offer.
